My mom and dad took all of us kids down to St. Geroge to spend a couple of days in a hotel where the kids could go swimming and go to Tuacahn to see "Footloose". It was a great time. We went shopping at the outlets and it seems like we were eating every hour.

Summer Vacation
I am really excited for the 4th of July weekend (I know it's a couple weeks away). We have planned a trip with all of Jeremy's family to go up to Lava Hot Springs/Soda Springs for the weekend. Idaho is my second home. I grew up in the small town of Soda and have many great memories. They are all being good sports about going down memory lane with me and letting me plan the activities to keep us busy! I even agreed to do a 5K run (but I will walk) with my sister in law Courtney if in return she will drink some of the "spring" water! I haven't told her that yet...
Here's a sneak peak at some of the things I have planned for us!

Fresh Start
I will spare you all the many excuses I have as to why I haven't updated my blog (primary, primary and primary) just to name a few. My kids have been sad that I haven't done much with our blog lately so I am making a fresh start. We have had several things go on the last couple of months (birthdays, baseball games, piano recitals, etc) so I told the kids (and aunt Natalie who is thousands of miles away)I would post some pictures and play catch up.
We signed Gavin up for Rookie Baseball this year. He has had the best time and absolutely loves it. His team name is "The Knights".

Max!
The kids have wanted a small dog, but I have always put my foot down and said "no". I came home from work one day and Jeremy had been searching on KSL for puppies and came across the "perfect dog for the kids" - he thought he sounded so persuasive. I said, that's nice and dismissed the thought. To make a long story short, I was out numbered and was told by the kids "I promise I'll take care of it", "I'll clean up his poop and take him for walks". All you moms out there know what I am talking about - you have heard it before, right! Well here is Max. He is a 12 week old Yorkie weighing about 2 pounds. The kids love him and have been very good about taking care of him (so far). I just hope I make it through the puppy phase before wanting to give him away. Did I mention this is our 4th attempt at owning a dog? Need I say more...

Primary Activity
I was called to be the Primary President in our ward a few months ago and we had our first primary activity on Saturday - which was a talent show. The kids were so cute and we had such a great time. I was making a poster with some of the pictures from our activity to display on the ward bulletin board and thought I would post just a few. Please share any fun activity ideas your primary has done. I'm not a real creative person and have the hardest time coming up with fun ideas.
Answer to Prayers!
I wanted to update everyone with Jeremy's job situation because I know a lot of you have been saying prayers on our behalf. Jeremy was offered a job on Friday to be a Corporate Financial Analyst. The whole interview process has been a month in the works and very stressful. He had to take an Excel and Access test before they would even interview him, but 3 interviews later and they offered him the job....whew!!! We know the Lord definitely had a hand in this one and we are very grateful. Thank you to all who have been praying for this to happen for us.

Draper Temple
Last night we took the kids to the Draper Temple open house. Let me just say, words cannot describe how beautiful this temple is! It was a great experience to take the kids through and let them see all of the rooms. They asked lots of questions as we went through the temple- what a great teaching opportunity for Jer and I. The tour ended with the sealing room and they had all of the families sit in the room together looking into the "eternity" mirrors. The kids thought that was pretty cool and of course I got a little teary eyed looking at my sweet little family all sitting there. I am so grateful for eternal families. For those of you who live close, I highly recommend taking your families to this open house. There is an amazing spirit that everyone can feel there.

14 Days of Valentines!
Attention romantics everywhere!
It's that time of year again....
14 Days of Valentines!
A friend of mine inspired me to start a Valentine tradition this year.
The idea is to start on February 1 and for 14 days do sweet things for your sweetheart.
It doesn't have to be fancy, just heart felt.
I sat down this morning and put my plan together.
Day 1
I am one lucky girl!
(Love letter and picture of me)
Day 2
For just the two of us.
(Formal invite to a private dinner, etc, etc on Valentine's Night)
Day 3
Three beautiful children.
(Pictures for Jeremy of the kids. Also love notes from them)
Day 4
Four necessities for a fun date.
(Lunch gift card, movie gift card and two boxes of candy)
Day 5
Five family treats at Leatherby's.
Day 6
Six sticky love notes hidden around the house, car, etc.
Day 7
Seven items for breakfast in bed.
(2 egg omelet with ham and cheese, toast, hashbrowns and juice
Day 8
Eight slices of pie.
(I'll pick up a Marie Callendars banana cream on Saturday for a Sunday night treat.)
Day 9
Nine reasons we love our dad Family Home Evening.
Day 10
Ten fingers to give you a massage after a long day.
(Include a bottle of oil)
Day 11
Eleven kisses.
(The lip kind and the chocolate kind)
Day 12
A dozen of my favorite memories.
(Poster board with pictures and notes about some of our most special memories)
Day 13
Thirteen years together.
Day 14
Lunch celebration with the kids. (Balloons, heart shaped pizza)
Private evening for just the two of us. (wink, wink)
Spread the love! Your husband will feel like a million bucks, I promise!
Check the dollar store and the 1.00 bins at Target for cards,
pretty boxes, bags, ribbons, candles, etc.
PS Don't forget to post your own ideas so that I can file them away for next year.

Happy 13th Anniversary!!
Today is our wedding anniversary. We can't believe it has been 13 years! To celebrate, we went out to a yummy steak dinner at Texas Roadhouse last night. We are so glad we have a live-in babysitter (thanks Katelyn for watching the kids). It's been a great 13 years! Life is not always easy, but it sure is nice to have a companion who is always there to stand beside you no matter what.
